Re-do

We went to an Easter egg hunt at the school today.

It was so much better than last year.

For one, I didn't have anyone screaming at me.
For another, when I got home, nobody put me in a headlock.

Bubbles was freaking out.
"Mama! You got to come with me. You got to stay!"

When I figured out what he was saying and why, I realized he needed a re-do. The only memorable association he has with Easter is the end of his world as he knew it, watching his daddy attack his mommy....and the fallout.

We got a re-do today.
It was awesome.

I'm here, from VU today- and I'll be back tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow.

To listen, to cry, to laugh, to get to know the wonderful person that you ARE.

I am so very, very glad that you get a do-over. Thank you for speaking out, for opening your world; may you know a thousand beautiful things for every moment of pain you have suffered.

Its amazing how much happier the kids are when the screaming freak is out of the picture. I am int he process of divorcing a man who was verbally but not physically abusive. He was an angry, brooding person, and always screaming and constantly screaming and yelling at us. I haven't blogged about it, and probably won't, but I am glad you are sharing your own experience here. It helps me to know that I am not alone, that someone else has experienced what I have (and worse, you had violence too) and is still here, still whole, and still finding her way.

If anyone needs an Easter re-do, it's you and the kids.

I'm so, so happy that you got one. Sometimes the universe gets it right, huh?

Hello.
Please read how IVF medications led to my breast cancer and how a breast cancer study using genetic testing to check estrogen metabolism is saving my life. Please share my story with all women who have used or are considering IVF, HRT and anyone with estrogen positive breast cancer.

Thanks

After reading a bit about your story, I don't know who deserved a peaceful easter more than you and Bubbles. Glad you got a re-do.

I have just divorced from my abusive husband and I still appreciate those special re-do days. I will never be able to forget what happened but I have my life back and I can grieve my son in peace.

Will be back here for sure. Thanks for writing.
