Okay, this is the THIRD TIME I have tried to post this comment, so lets hope Blogger doesn't eat it...
I really like that clip. He said it quite perfectly.
I would like to point out that a great number of Mormons disagreed with the church involving itself so heavily in this.
Quite a few Mormons risked their standing in the church to protest at Temple Square, right here in Salt Lake City. To give you an idea, that would be like a bunch of Pro-choice Catholics protesting at the Vatican.
None too few of my friends put their temple recommends (what you need to go inside the temple- it's a really really big deal to lose one) on the line and stood up to their leaders when they were pressured to vote yes.
A law professor from BYU wrote a commentary on a flyer put out by the "Yes on 8" crowd (not published by the LDS church) that debunked the myth of clergy being forced to marry same-sex couples, the lie that school children would be taught about gay marriage, etc.
Hey--are we doing coasters this Sunday? (We are pressing grapes on Sat.) Answer me back on Fig, ok? I have to let the violin teacher know if we are available or not. xo

no arguments here, i think Keith said it well.
I wonder if he would marry me. I think I love him.

We aren't all cowards. We aren't all blind.
He nails it. In a beautiful and rational way.
